Fundamentals for Understanding GainSeeker Suite explores the concept of quality in manufacturing, how variation impacts it, and how Statistical Process Control (SPC) using GainSeeker can help to ensure it.
Throughout this course we will learn how a Control Chart can help us monitor and control manufacturing processes to ensure they produce good outcomes. In knowing how to read a Control Chart, we can see when a process is changing for the worse, investigate why, and then decide whether a change to the process is necessary to get it back on track.
Though we may tend to think of quality as conformance to specifications, that is only a part of a good quality initiative. Optimal quality is only realized when a manufacturing process is on target with minimal variation. Understanding how variation impacts quality can help assure that you receive the best value for your data using GainSeeker.
